Ruche Design LLC Founder and Principal Karla Usalis has been renovating homes for over a decade and designing and building furniture for longer. Her path to an architectural interior career has been circuitous. As a daughter of a general contractor, her childhood was spent playing with legos and poring over architecture books. She went on to get a degree at Princeton and an MBA at Dartmouth and worked in management consulting, finance and several start-ups after graduation before returning to her true passion for design and architecture.

Ruche Design LLC was founded in 2018.
